Tragic Dog Attack Claims Life of 15-Year-Old Girl in Arkansas

U.S. Senator John Hoffman and Representative Melissa Hortman, both Democrats, were shot at their homes in Minnesota on June 14, 2025, according to multiple reports. The incident occurred in Champlin and Brooklyn Park, and the current condition of the lawmakers and their spouses remains unknown.
Initial reports indicate that the shooter was impersonating a police officer, although authorities have not confirmed whether the lawmakers were the intended targets of the attack. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz expressed concern over the situation on social media, indicating that he has been briefed on the ongoing emergency response.
In a post, Governor Walz stated, “I’ve activated the State Emergency Operations Center. Local law enforcement in Champlin and Brooklyn Park have the full resources of the State of Minnesota behind them.” A shelter-in-place alert was issued around a three-mile radius near Edinburgh Golf Course as police search for a suspect described as a white male with brown hair, dressed in black armor over a blue shirt.
Mayor of Mounds View, Zach Lindstrom, condemned the attack, marking it as unacceptable violence against elected officials.
