Al-Qaida Leader Calls for Violence Against Trump and High-Profile Figures

Khaby Lame, the world's most followed TikTok star, was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas after allegedly overstaying his visa, according to an ICE spokesperson. The Senegalese-Italian influencer, known legally as Seringe Khabane Lame, was taken into custody following his arrival in the U.S. on April 30, 2025. He has since left the country without facing a deportation order, opting instead for voluntary departure, which allows him to return in the future without adverse immigration consequences.
During his time in the U.S., Lame attended high-profile events such as the Met Gala, solidifying his status as a prominent figure in pop culture. He gained fame during the COVID-19 pandemic for his viral videos reacting to complex life hacks with minimal commentary. With 162.2 million followers on TikTok, Lame has secured significant branding partnerships, including a multi-year deal with Hugo Boss, and was appointed a UNICEF goodwill ambassador earlier this year. Lame has not yet publicly addressed the incident.
