WHO Issues Warning on Deadly Fungus Aspergillus Fumigatus

Tesla Inc. has announced a hiring initiative in India, shortly after CEO Elon Musk met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the United States. According to a LinkedIn post on February 18, 2025, the electric vehicle manufacturer is looking to fill 13 roles across the market, including positions for service technicians and customer engagement managers in cities like Mumbai and Delhi.
This recruitment marks a significant step for Tesla, which has previously hesitated to enter the Indian market due to high import tariffs. However, the Indian government recently reduced the basic customs duty on high-end electric vehicles priced above $40,000 from 110% to 70%, potentially making the market more attractive for foreign companies.
Despite its nascent electric vehicle market, which recorded nearly 100,000 sales last year—compared to over 11 million in China—India presents a viable opportunity for Tesla, especially as it seeks to recover from its first annual decline in EV sales in a decade. Analysts view this move as a strategic expansion into a growing market amidst a challenging economic backdrop for the company.
