New York Police Search for Missing Toddler, Suspect Father Tossed Him in River

Khaby Lame, the world's most followed TikTok star, was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas after allegedly overstaying his visa, according to an ICE spokesperson. The Senegalese-Italian influencer, known legally as Seringe Khabane Lame, was taken into custody following his arrival in the U.S. on April 30, 2025. He has since left the country without facing a deportation order, opting instead for voluntary departure, which allows him to return in the future without adverse immigration consequences. During his time in the U.S., Lame attended high-profile events such as the Met Gala, solidifying his status as a prominent figure in pop culture. He gained fame during the COVID-19 pandemic for his viral videos reacting to complex life hacks with minimal commentary. With 162.2 million followers on TikTok, Lame has secured significant branding partnerships, including a multi-year deal with Hugo Boss, and was appointed a UNICEF goodwill ambassador earlier this year. Lame has not yet publicly addressed the incident.

Sa’ad bin Atef al-Awlaki, head of al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), issued a chilling call for the assassination of prominent American figures, including President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and tech billionaire Elon Musk, according to US intelligence sources. In a 34-minute propaganda video titled "Inciting the Believers," al-Awlaki cited their pro-Israel positions as justification for revenge amid ongoing conflict in Gaza. Al-Awlaki urged Muslims in the US to carry out violent acts with no "red lines" against American targets, declaring, “Do not consult anyone about killing infidel Americans.” He also incited violence against Jews, saying, “Do not leave a single safe place for Jews,” a statement echoing rising antisemitic sentiments. AQAP, considered one of the most dangerous affiliates of the broader al-Qaida network, has garnered international attention for prior terror plots, including the notorious 2009 "underwear bomber" incident. The US State Department continues to classify AQAP as a foreign terrorist organization and is closely monitoring the latest threats.

YouTuber Finny Da Legend, whose real name is unclear, and his wife, known as Bubbly, were fatally shot while live streaming near the Bellagio fountains on the Las Vegas Strip on June 8, 2025. The incident occurred around 10:40 PM local time, as the couple conversed on camera before an assailant opened fire. The shooting was briefly streamed live on YouTube before being removed; however, footage has since circulated on social media. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, officers on routine patrol nearby heard gunfire and quickly responded to the scene, where they found two individuals with apparent gunshot wounds. Medical personnel confirmed both victims deceased at the site. Officials stated that the investigation is ongoing and led by the LVMPD Homicide Section. The suspected shooter, identified as 41-year-old Manuel Ruiz, turned himself in to authorities the following day and is currently facing two counts of Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon. In light of the incident, YouTube has removed the channel associated with Ruiz, citing violations of community guidelines.
