In a shocking incident from Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh, a 57-year-old woman named K Lakshmi Devi is accused of murdering her son, K Shyam Prasad, due to his alleged misconduct. The crime reportedly occurred on February 13, with police stating that Devi was assisted by relatives in dismembering Prasad's body into five pieces before disposing of it in a canal.
Prakasam Superintendent of Police, A R Damodar, informed the Press Trust of India that Prasad, a cleaner, had a history of inappropriate behavior, including attempts to assault his maternal aunts in various locations, including Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Frustrated by his actions, Devi allegedly killed him with a sharp weapon, possibly an axe.
The police have initiated a manhunt for Devi and her accomplices, who are currently evading arrest. Charges have been filed against them under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, and investigations are ongoing.
