Four teenagers have been charged in connection with an alleged six-hour sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl in Liverpool, a suburb of Sydney. The incident reportedly occurred in December 2024 when the girl was lured into her car by a man she did not know at a shopping center, according to New South Wales police. The initial attacker then coerced her to drive to a nearby park, where two additional males joined and also assaulted her.
Police arrested an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old on Tuesday, facing a combined total of 14 counts of aggravated sexual assault. They are scheduled to appear in court after being denied bail. A 16-year-old boy was previously arrested and charged with 24 offenses, including nine counts of sexual intercourse without consent. A 14-year-old boy was also charged with ten offenses, including seven counts of aggravated sexual assault. Both younger individuals have been refused bail as well.
The investigation, labeled Strike Force Dungannon, was initiated following the victim's report to the authorities after the attack. Officials continue to seek further evidence related to the case.
