German Doctor Charged with Murdering 15 Patients

A 21-year-old man was arrested in Saxony, Germany, after allegedly planning an attack on an asylum accommodation in the neighboring state of Brandenburg. According to the Saxony State Criminal Police Office (LKA), the arrest followed an anonymous tip that led to searches of two properties in the Meißen district on Wednesday evening.
During the search, officials seized two bomb shells, brass knuckles, folding knives, ammunition, blank-firing guns, and various items of equipment and clothing. LKA spokesperson Kay Anders stated the suspect had been preparing the attack out of hatred for migrants, targeting a specific asylum shelter in Senftenberg.
The investigation, conducted by the Special Commission Rex, indicated that the attack was not linked to the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Dresden. The suspect is expected to be presented before a judge on Thursday. The detention underscores ongoing concerns about far-right extremism in Germany, particularly towards asylum seekers.
