German Doctor Charged with Murdering 15 Patients

An increasing number of young men in Germany are gravitating toward the far-right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party, which has been consistently polling in second place nationally. This trend is largely attributed to rising fears surrounding immigration and a series of violent incidents involving asylum seekers, according to 19-year-old Nick, a supporter of the AfD.
Recent Pew research showed 26% of German men viewed the AfD positively, compared to 11% of women, with support among younger voters rising significantly in recent elections. Dr. Rüdiger Maas from the Institute for Generational Research noted that men often feel disassociated from left-wing themes such as feminism and equality, thus turning to conservative ideologies instead. Social media platforms like TikTok have also played a vital role in disseminating AfD messaging, allowing the party to bypass traditional media.
While some AfD supporters, like 25-year-old TikTok influencer Celina Brychcy, claim their views are not inherently racist, many express concerns about immigration and gender roles, signaling changing attitudes among younger generations in Germany.
