Rajasthan NGO Busted for Human Trafficking Under Mass Marriage Scam

A woman in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, was arrested for allegedly choking a man to death during a sexual encounter after claiming he was blackmailing her. According to police, the 32-year-old accused identified as the victim's acquaintance, Iqbal, who was a local Zari Zardosi artisan, had forced her into multiple sexual relationships by threatening to expose her to her husband with recorded conversations.
The incident took place on the night of February 1, 2025, after the woman reportedly drugged her husband to facilitate her meeting with Iqbal. "I was tired of this. I had no other choice because I wanted to protect my family," she allegedly told police after admitting the crime. Following the encounter, she dragged Iqbal's body to a staircase near his home and returned to her residence.
Authorities found Iqbal's body two days later, prompting an investigation that led to the woman's arrest. The case has drawn significant media attention due to its disturbing nature and the circumstances surrounding the alleged crime.
