Human Trafficking Network Busted in Delhi-NCR; Over 30 Children Sold

The US Department of Treasury has imposed sanctions on an Indian company and an individual for their involvement in a network that facilitated the shipment of Iranian oil to China. Announced on February 6, 2025, the sanctions involve multiple firms and individuals spanning India, China, and the UAE, according to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
The US alleges that this network shipped millions of barrels of oil to China, generating significant revenue for Iran's military capabilities, including nuclear development and ballistic missile production. One of the sanctioned entities includes Marshal Ship Management PVT, a shipping firm claimed to have provided crew members assisting in falsifying shipping documents.
These sanctions are part of the US government's broader strategy to curb Iran's funding for its nuclear program and regional terrorism, with an emphasis on holding accountable those who facilitate such operations, as stated by State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce.
The action underscores the ongoing tensions surrounding Iran's oil operations amidst international sanctions aimed at limiting its military funding.
