Concerns Rise Over Disinformation Campaigns in German Election

At the Munich Security Conference, US Vice President JD Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the critical need for a peace agreement with Russia as the conflict approaches its third anniversary. Vance reiterated the United States' commitment to achieving a "lasting peace," stating, "We want to achieve a durable, lasting peace, not the kind that keeps Eastern Europe in conflict." Zelensky described the meeting as a crucial starting point, expressing readiness for swift advancements towards "real and guaranteed peace."
However, concerns linger about Ukraine's future support from the US, especially following President Donald Trump's truce discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Zelensky warned that Ukraine faces a "low chance to survive" without American assistance, even amid ongoing Russian attacks, which included 133 drone strikes on Ukrainian territories. Vance pledged further discussions on peace and suggested that military leverage could be used against Russia in negotiations.
The conference continues until February 16, bringing together global leaders to address pressing security challenges.
