Tragically, Bengaluru Family Found Dead in Suspected Murder-Suicide
In a distressing incident, a family of four was discovered dead in their rented residence in Bengaluru, raising concerns of a possible murder-suicide. The deceased have been identified as Anup Kumar, a software consultant, his wife Rakhi, and their two young children, 5-year-old Anupriya and 2-year-old Priyansh.
The police report indicates that Anup and Rakhi allegedly poisoned their children before taking their own lives by hanging. The family, originally from Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, had been living in Bengaluru for Anup's job. The tragedy unfolded when the family's house help arrived for work on Monday morning and was unable to gain entry or elicit a response. Alarmed, the help contacted neighbors, who subsequently called the police.
Upon investigation, authorities found the family’s bodies in their home. Initial findings suggest that the couple may have been experiencing significant emotional distress, particularly because Anupriya required special needs care. Despite previous indications of a happy family life, including plans for a trip to Pondicherry the following week, it appears the couple faced considerable stress.
Currently, no suicide note has been recovered, and police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
