Eleven-Year-Old Girl With Disabilities Raped in Uttar Pradesh

Aditi Mishra, an 18-year-old student from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, died by suicide following her failure to clear the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). A day after the results were announced, Aditi's parents received a heart-wrenching note from her expressing regret and love. According to local police, Aditi had been preparing for the JEE for two years at Momentum Coaching Center.
On the morning of the incident, she spoke with her parents and requested her father to recharge her mobile phone. When her roommate returned to their hostel, she discovered Aditi hanging from a noose. The police recovered a suicide note in which Aditi apologized to her parents, stating, “Sorry mummy papa, forgive me... I could not do it... this was the end of our relationship.”
Abhinav Tyagi, Superintendent of Police, indicated that the actual cause of death will be determined following a postmortem examination. Aditi's tragic death highlights the immense pressure faced by students in competitive examinations in India.
