Advanced Technology Offers New Hope in Search for MH370

A devastating bus accident in northern Malaysia has resulted in the deaths of 15 individuals, predominantly university students returning to their campus. The incident occurred early Monday near Gerik on the East-West Highway, a notorious route prone to accidents. Thirteen victims died at the scene, while two others succumbed to injuries in hospitals, according to police reports.
Perak State Police Chief Hisam Nordin speculated that the bus lost control and collided with a minivan. Images from the site showed a dramatically overturned bus and a minivan that had veered into a ditch. The tragedy claimed the lives of 14 students from Sultan Idris Education University, and a bus attendant. Thirty-three others sustained injuries, with seven reported in critical condition.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expressed condolences on social media, urging caution on Malaysia's perilous roads. The nation struggles with high traffic accident rates, averaging 18 fatalities daily. Investigations into potential negligence or technical failure are underway, as officials call for increased road safety awareness.
