Eleven-Year-Old Girl With Disabilities Raped in Uttar Pradesh

A distressing incident occurred at Lalitpur Medical College in Uttar Pradesh, where the head of a newborn was reportedly consumed by dogs. According to reports, the baby was born with severe congenital defects and was underweight at just 1.3 kg. After the child died in the Special Newborn Care Unit, the family took possession of the body but allegedly abandoned it, leading to the gruesome attack. Dr. Meenakshi Singh, Chief Medical Officer, indicated that the newborn was alive with a heart rate of 80 beats per minute before passing away later that day.
The hospital administration has shifted responsibility onto the family, suggesting negligence for leaving the body in an unsecured area. "We believe the family threw the child's body in a plastic bag," said Dr. Singh. In response to the incident, Lalitpur Medical College's Principal D Nath has formed a committee to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragedy, as the facility has faced scrutiny for negligence in the past.
Authorities continue to urge families to take proper care of their deceased relatives’ remains to prevent such shocking events.
