Seven Police Officers Shot During Distress Call in San Antonio
In San Antonio, Texas, seven police officers sustained injuries during a call for help from an apartment on Wednesday evening. The call was made by an individual reporting that a family member was in distress. As authorities arrived at the scene, they were fired upon sequentially, according to San Antonio Police Chief Bill McManus.
The first officer was shot in the lower extremities, followed quickly by others on the scene. A total of four officers were shot at various times during the incident. Fortunately, all officers have been hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and are currently receiving medical care.
