U.S. Envoy Meets Putin in Moscow to Discuss Ukraine Ceasefire

Vadim Stroykin, a Russian musician and vocal critic of President Vladimir Putin, died under mysterious circumstances following a police raid at his St. Petersburg apartment. According to The New York Post, Stroykin was accused of supporting the Ukrainian army and faced potential charges related to terrorism, which could result in up to 20 years in prison. He reportedly fell from a 10th-floor window shortly after authorities conducted the raid.
Witnesses claimed that Stroykin was last seen heading to the kitchen for water before opening the window and falling to his death. Stroykin had openly criticized Putin, labeling him an "idiot" on social media platforms. He once expressed a desire to see Putin tried rather than wishing for his death.
His death is part of a disturbing pattern, as several other critics of the Russian government have also experienced similar fatal incidents under questionable circumstances. Notably, ballet dancer Vladimir Shklyarov, another vocal opponent of the war in Ukraine, died last year after a fall from a building.
