Eleven-Year-Old Girl With Disabilities Raped in Uttar Pradesh

Russia has officially proposed to manufacture its fifth-generation stealth fighter, the Sukhoi Su-57, in India for the Indian Air Force, as part of efforts to strengthen defense ties with New Delhi. According to a spokesperson for Russian state arms exporter Rosoboronexport, the production could begin as soon as this year, pending approval from the Indian government.
Moscow has historically been India's primary weapons supplier, but its arms exports have faced challenges due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. An Indian official, along with a source in Russia's defense industry, confirmed that the informal offer was made during discussions with the Indian government and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. The need for the Indian Air Force to restore its fighter jet squadron numbers, which currently stand at 31 out of a target of 42, is further pressing amid regional tensions with China.
Making the aircraft in India would mitigate the impact of Western sanctions on Russia, allowing for full technology transfer, per Rosoboronexport. The initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's push for increased domestic defense production.
