Robbers Involved in ATM Heist Shoot Again, Leaving One Injured in Hyderabad
In a shocking series of events, two armed robbers who recently carried out a brazen ATM heist in Bidar, Karnataka, have now shot at a private travel firm manager in Hyderabad. The incident occurred in the Afzal Gunj area as the suspects attempted to board a bus for Raipur after committing their earlier crime.
On January 16, the robbers stole Rs 93 lakh after murdering an ATM cash vehicle guard and injuring another in Bidar. The first victim, Giri Venkatesh, died at the scene, while his colleague, Shivakumar, is reported to be in critical condition.
Later, while trying to finalize bus tickets, the robbers attempted to bribe the travel agency manager, Jahangir. When he refused and insisted on inspecting their luggage, they opened fire before fleeing the scene. Jahangir is now recovering in the hospital following surgery for his injuries.
Authorities have issued an alert across Hyderabad and are actively searching for the suspects in connection with both the ATM robbery and the shooting incident. The situation raises serious concerns over public safety and the increasing boldness of such criminal acts.
