German Doctor Charged with Murdering 15 Patients

Berlin witnessed two violent assaults linked to right-wing extremists within a span of hours on February 2, 2025. According to police reports, the first incident occurred around 5:30 PM on the S42 ring line. The victim, a 22-year-old man, was approached by two teenagers at Ostkreuz station, who demanded the removal of an anti-racist sticker on his backpack. Following his refusal, they attacked him physically before displaying the Hitler salute and fleeing at Landsberger Allee station, leaving the victim unharmed.
Later that night, at approximately 10:40 PM, another attack involved two masked assailants targeting a Canadian man of Asian descent in a U-Bahn in central Berlin. The attackers reportedly kicked him in the stomach and also displayed the Hitler salute. After the victim attempted to escape to another carriage, they pursued him, resulting in injuries to his face before intervening bystanders prevented further violence. The State Protection Service is currently investigating both incidents, which echo rising concerns about right-wing extremism in Germany.
