Eleven-Year-Old Girl With Disabilities Raped in Uttar Pradesh

A pregnant woman was thrown from a moving train in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore district after she resisted an attempted sexual assault on February 7, 2025. The incident occurred on the Coimbatore-Tirupati Intercity Express around 10:30 AM, as Revathi was traveling alone to visit her mother in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. Having boarded the train early in the morning with an unreserved ticket, she was initially in the ladies' coach, which later became empty when other passengers disembarked at Jolarpettai Railway Station.
According to officials, after the women left, the accused, identified as Hemaraj, entered the coach and attempted to rape her. Upon her resistance, he forcibly threw her out of the moving train. The woman sustained injuries to her hands, legs, and head and was subsequently taken to Vellore Government Hospital for treatment.
Police have arrested Hemaraj, who is reported to have a criminal history involving similar offenses, including previous arrests for murder and robbery.
