UK Husband Convicted for Years of Drugging and Raping Wife

Sussex police have launched an investigation into the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust, examining potential corporate and individual manslaughter charges related to at least 40 deaths connected to alleged medical negligence. Operation Bramber, which is scrutinizing cases from 2015 to 2021, has expanded to include about 200 instances of avoidable harm, according to police statements disclosed to bereaved families.
The investigation follows serious allegations from two consultant surgeons who claim they faced retaliation after raising concerns about patient safety. Families have expressed outrage, demanding the immediate resignation of the trust's senior executive team for what they describe as "unacceptably poor health services." They cite incidents of alleged misconduct, including a surgeon reportedly using a Swiss army knife during surgery and creating a culture of fear among staff.
Among the families advocating for change is Charlotte Smart, whose mother was left paralyzed post-surgery. Calls for accountability emphasize the need for immediate action to restore trust and prevent further tragedies within the NHS.
