Panic Erupts in Maharashtra Villages as Residents Experience Rapid Hair Loss
Residents in three villages of Maharashtra's Buldhana district are facing alarming rates of hair loss, with many going completely bald within a week. The villages—Borgaon, Kalwad, and Hingna—have reported numerous cases of sudden hair fall that has sparked concern among locals and health officials alike.
The local health department has dispatched a team to investigate the situation, suspecting that pollution from fertilizers may be the underlying cause. Water and hair samples have been collected for testing as doctors work to identify the source of the mass hair loss.
Reports indicate that both men and women in these communities have been losing large tufts of hair, with some residents sharing videos showing their hair being easily pulled from the scalp. To date, approximately 50 individuals have been identified as experiencing this troubling symptom, and health officials warn that the number could increase if the causes are not determined.
Dr. Deepali Rahekar, a health officer involved in the investigation, stated, "It could be due to polluted water. We have collected samples and will test them to reach a conclusion." As the health department awaits test results, residents have been advised to take extra precautions regarding their health.
Authorities are prioritizing the health and safety of the villagers as they continue to uncover the cause of this serious issue.
