Human Trafficking Network Busted in Delhi-NCR; Over 30 Children Sold

A team from India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) is set to travel to the United States on January 30 to extradite Tahawwur Rana, a convict in the 2008 Mumbai attacks that claimed 166 lives. The US Supreme Court has cleared Rana's extradition, prompting this official mission, according to reports by The Indian Express.
The Indian government has received confirmation from the US courts, which rejected Rana's legal appeals, including a petition presented to the Supreme Court on January 21. The NIA team, comprising high-ranking officers, is currently coordinating with US authorities for the extradition process.
Once returned to India, Rana will face detention at Tihar Jail, where officials have arranged for a high-security cell equipped with 24/7 CCTV surveillance. A source from Tihar Jail revealed the facility will include an inbuilt bathroom and toilet.
Rana, a Canadian national of Pakistani descent, was implicated in the planning of the attacks alongside David Coleman Headley, who has been identified as one of the masterminds behind the incident.
