This recent tremor follows a similar quake in May 2024, which was noted as the largest in four decades, but did not result in injuries. The Campi Flegrei caldera, an active volcanic region, houses about 500,000 residents who have shown increasing concern regarding seismic activities. Authorities reassured the public that there is currently no imminent threat of a large-scale eruption.
