Eleven-Year-Old Girl With Disabilities Raped in Uttar Pradesh

Over 104 Indian migrants were recently deported from the United States after attempting to enter illegally. This deportation follows renewed crackdowns on illegal immigration by the U.S. government, as discussed by President Donald Trump in a call with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to reports from the Associated Press. Many of these migrants take what is known as the 'donkey route,' which involves navigating through multiple countries, including the perilous Darien Gap—a 97-kilometer stretch of uncharted jungle connecting Colombia and Panama.
The Darien Gap, known for its harsh terrain and unpredictable weather, has become a primary crossing point for migrants from various countries. Recent data indicates that over 520,000 migrants crossed this dangerous route in 2023, marking a significant increase from the previous year. Reports indicate a humanitarian crisis unfolding, with numerous instances of violence and deaths among those attempting the crossing.
The challenges are exacerbated by organized crime and smuggling networks, with cartel activities leading to increased dangers for migrants. This has resulted in numerous fatalities and an inability to provide adequate humanitarian support, further complicating migrants’ journeys.
