Eleven-Year-Old Girl With Disabilities Raped in Uttar Pradesh

IT giant Infosys has reportedly laid off nearly 700 fresh graduates from its Mysuru campus, according to the Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES). The layoffs, which occurred just six months after these recruits joined the company, have sparked significant outrage on social media.
Many of the affected employees had been eagerly awaiting to start their careers after more than two years of waiting since receiving their offer letters. “In a shocking and unethical move, Infosys has begun forcefully laying off around 700 campus recruits,” NITES President Harpreet Singh Saluja stated. Reports indicate that security personnel were present during the termination process, allegedly to intimidate employees.
Social media users have vocalized their sympathy for those impacted, with one user on X highlighting the emotional toll this has on young professionals who trusted one of India's largest IT firms. Concerns about the broader implications of such layoffs for recent graduates have also emerged, with users suggesting that 2025 may be a challenging economic year for many.
