Ukraine and Russia Initiate New Round of Prisoner Swap Talks in Istanbul

Ana Barbara Buhr Buldrini, a 31-year-old singer and influencer from Mozambique, died shortly after undergoing cosmetic surgery in Turkey on June 20, 2025. According to reports from Turkiye, Ana traveled to Istanbul for breast augmentation, liposuction, and a nose job, arranged under a promotional agreement with the hospital, Tusa Hospital.
Tragically, Ana died of cardiac arrest just hours after her procedures. Her husband, Elgar Sueia, expressed devastation, stating, “I lost control... I saw her in the morgue.” He claimed that Ana was admitted for surgery prematurely, alleging she had not received proper preoperative care, including fasting that is often necessary before such operations.
The hospital denied wrongdoing, asserting Ana was informed about her surgery and had signed consent forms. They stated that the surgery followed standard medical protocols but that an “unexpected complication” arose during recovery.
Reports indicate that Tusa Hospital recently changed its name after facing scrutiny for previous surgeries that led to fatalities.
