Human Trafficking Network Busted in Delhi-NCR; Over 30 Children Sold

In a surge of devotion, many Indian professionals are turning to Hindu temples believed to bless visa applications in light of stricter US immigration policies enacted under former President Donald Trump. Notably, the Chamatkari Hanuman temple in Ahmedabad, dubbed "Visa Hanuman," has seen an influx of devotees placing their passports before Lord Hanuman while reciting hymns. Temple priest Vijay Bhatt told the Times of India that he has witnessed quick approvals for prayers performed here, instilling hope among those facing uncertainty regarding their visa applications.
Similar scenes are observed at the Chilkur Balaji temple in Hyderabad, known as the "Visa God" shrine, where individuals express their aspirations through rituals and prayers. Aspirants, including software engineer Chandana, are determined to hold on to their faith despite the challenges posed by the new immigration regulations. The atmosphere in these temples reflects desperation and a blend of faith, as applicants engage in penances like fasting for days, hoping for divine intervention. Narayan Mishra, a priest at Shree Siddhi Peeth Chamatkari Hanuman Mandir in Delhi, noted that many come seeking solutions in a state of despair.
