Gunfire Erupts in Berlin as Clan Members Involved in Nighttime Shooting Incident
A shooting incident in Berlin's Neukölln neighborhood has left the local community shaken. On January 7, 2025, police responded to reports of gunfire on Marientaler Straße shortly after 8:30 PM. Witnesses claim a man opened fire into a crowd, prompting an immediate police presence.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two injured individuals. A 44-year-old man sustained a head injury, while a 33-year-old man was admitted to a nearby hospital with a stab wound. Authorities believe both men were involved in the altercation.
Significantly, several members of the notorious Abou-Chaker crime clan were present at the scene, including Arafat and Nasser Abou-Chaker, alongside other relatives. The situation escalated as more clan members arrived, leading police to call in additional units, including dog handlers, to restore order.
During investigations, officers secured multiple firearms, knives, and ammunition from nearby vehicles. Evidence of gunfire was found on the property, although no injuries from the shooting were reported.
The area was cordoned off as investigations continued. Police are currently working to determine the motives behind the confrontation.
