Government Forms Team to Investigate Mysterious Deaths in Jammu and Kashmir

In response to a troubling rise in unexplained deaths in Budhal village, Rajouri district, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has established an inter-ministerial team to investigate the incidents. The team, led by a senior officer from the Union home ministry, will include health, agriculture, and environmental experts, aiming to determine the causes of the recent fatalities.

At least 16 individuals have reportedly died over the last six weeks due to a mysterious illness characterized by fever, nausea, and faintness. Most victims succumbed shortly after being hospitalized. While early investigations suggest that these incidents are not linked to bacterial or viral communicable diseases, authorities are concerned by the rapid onset and severity of the cases.

The investigation team, set to visit the affected area on Sunday, will collaborate with local administration to provide immediate assistance and implement preventive measures. They will be supported by specialists from various scientific fields, including animal husbandry and food safety, as they seek to understand the health crisis impacting this village.

Authorities aim to address public concerns while working diligently to establish the health implications of these alarming deaths.
