Family Murders Young Couple in Uttar Pradesh, Tries to Fake Suicides

A tragic incident occurred in Uttar Pradesh's Lalitpur district where a 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were allegedly murdered by the woman's family, who attempted to stage the deaths as suicides. The victims, identified as Mithun Kushwaha and Kamini Sahu, were reportedly in a relationship that was disapproved by Sahu's family.

According to police accounts, the couple had been discreetly meeting at Sahu's residence after a village council advised Kushwaha to leave the area until Sahu was married. On New Year's Eve, as Kushwaha visited Sahu to celebrate her birthday, her family caught him, tied him up, and forced him to ingest poison. After Kushwaha's death, Sahu's family also murdered her to cover up the crime.

To mislead authorities, they attempted to present Kushwaha's death as a suicide by hanging his body from a tree, while Sahu's body was dumped behind their house. Initially suspected as a murder-suicide, the case took a turn when autopsy reports revealed both individuals had been strangled. Three family members, including Sahu's father, mother, and uncle, have been arrested for their involvement in the crime. Police are conducting a thorough investigation into the case.
