Eleven-Year-Old Girl With Disabilities Raped in Uttar Pradesh

On February 6, 2025, a U.S. military aircraft transporting 104 deported Indians from various states arrived at Amritsar airport, marking a significant operation against illegal immigration during the Donald Trump administration. The deportees recounted traumatic experiences involving fraudulent agents, severe hardships, and threats to their lives. Jaspal Singh, among the returnees, revealed he was captured by U.S. Border Patrol after spending months in South America attempting to reach the U.S. illegally.
Singh described a perilous journey that required crossing 17 to 18 hills, resulting in injuries and fatalities among fellow travelers. He was handcuffed throughout the flight before being unshackled upon landing. The journey, he claimed, cost him approximately ₹3 million (around $36,000) after being deceived by a travel agent. Reports indicated that most deportees hailed from Punjab, Haryana, and Gujarat.
Upon their return, the deportees faced questioning by local authorities, as the Indian government aims to address illegal immigration amidst rising concerns about safety and legal pathways to the U.S.
