Eleven-Year-Old Girl With Disabilities Raped in Uttar Pradesh

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is predicted to win the Delhi state elections, marking their first victory in the region in nearly three decades, according to exit polls released on Thursday. The BJP is projected to secure 43 seats in the assembly, overtaking the reformist Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is forecasted to win 26 seats. The secular Congress Party is expected to claim only one seat, as reported in a composite “poll of polls.”
The AAP has previously dismissed exit poll predictions, citing a strong mandate in past elections, such as their victory in 2020 when they gained 62 out of 70 seats. AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, known for his anti-corruption stance, has been a vocal opponent of Modi, who campaigned extensively against the AAP in the lead-up to the election.
Should the BJP's projected victory hold, it would bolster their position following a lackluster performance in the May 2024 general elections. Official results are expected to be finalized on Saturday.
