Eleven-Year-Old Girl With Disabilities Raped in Uttar Pradesh

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is projected to win the Delhi state elections, potentially marking the first time the party will claim victory in the national capital in 27 years, according to exit polls. The "poll of polls" indicates that the BJP could secure 43 seats in the Delhi Assembly, while the incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by Arvind Kejriwal, is expected to win only 26 seats. The once-dominant Congress party is forecasted to hold just one seat, a significant decrease in its influence.
If these projections hold true, it would conclude nearly a decade of AAP leadership in Delhi, which has been marred by controversies, including corruption allegations against Kejriwal and his ministers. AAP spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar contested the reliability of exit polls, asserting that previous forecasts miscalculated AAP's electoral strength.
BJP's anticipated victory follows recent successes in Maharashtra and Haryana, rejuvenating its political prospects after a lackluster performance in the May 2024 general elections. Official results will be announced on Saturday.
