A recent alumna of Bay Village High School, Kasunick had been an active member of the Hope College orchestra, playing the violin, and was nominated for an Accessibility Awareness Award for her positive influence and advocacy for individuals with disabilities.
In a statement, Bay Village City School District Superintendent Scot Prebles expressed deep sorrow over the loss, highlighting Kasunick's vibrant personality and the impact she had on her school community. Students at Hope College and Bay High School will have access to counseling services in the wake of this tragedy.
