Major Darknet Child Exploitation Platform "Kidflix" Shut Down in International Operation

A newly discovered asteroid, designated 2024 YR4, is set to make a close approach to Earth on December 22, 2032, with a 1.2% chance of impacting the planet, according to the European Space Agency (ESA). This probability heightens concerns, as noted by engineer David Rankin from the Catalina Sky Survey, who stated that "this is one of the highest probabilities for a significant impact ever recorded."
Discovered on December 27, 2024, using the ATLAS telescope in Río Hurtado, Chile, the asteroid measures between 40 to 100 meters in diameter. Despite its potential risk, ESA officials, including Richard Moissl, reassured the public, declaring that this is not a "planet killer" and there is "no reason for alarm."
The asteroid's categorization on the Torino Scale is currently 3, indicating it requires monitoring. The ESA emphasized that further observations could reduce the impact risk, as has occurred with similar cases. If the risk remains above 1%, discussions may occur with the United Nations for possible intervention strategies.
