Former Meta Executive Accuses Company of Compromising U.S. Security

Apple Inc. has issued an urgent warning to iPhone and iPad users, advising them to update their devices to patch critical security vulnerabilities. The company highlighted the seriousness of the situation, with a specific vulnerability, identified as CVE-2025-24201, affecting Webkit, the engine behind Safari and other browsers. Apple suggests that malicious websites exploiting this flaw could grant hackers access to areas outside the web browser, potentially compromising sensitive data.
In a statement, Apple explained, “Maliciously crafted web content may be able to break out of Web Content sandbox,” emphasizing that this patch serves as a supplementary fix to prevent attacks previously blocked in an earlier update. Users are also experiencing unintended issues post-update, including the activation of Apple Intelligence features that some had disabled, according to reports by Forbes.
This warning follows a recent February alert from Apple regarding highly sophisticated attacks targeting specific users, raising further concerns about security protocols across their devices.
